Spatial Light Modulator
As a cornerstone of digital optical technology, the Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) enables dynamic control over the amplitude, phase, and polarization of an optical wavefront via time-varying electrical signals. It can also convert incoherent light into coherent light. By encoding information onto a light beam, the SLM achieves precise spatial light modulation. In practice, an input image signal is used to control the voltage applied to each pixel in real-time, thereby dynamically shaping the light wave.
