Beam expander
A laser beam expander is a lens assembly that can adjust the diameter and divergence angle of a laser beam, using an expanding lens to modify the beam size for use in various optical instruments and equipment.

- The adjustable beam expander can improve the collimation of a laser beam with a divergence angle ranging from 18 to 32 milliradians.
Application
- In precision laser processing, the beam expander collimates the outgoing laser beam before it can be focused into a tiny, high-power-density spot.
- In laser ranging, a beam-expanding lens can improve laser collimation, enabling accurate measurements over long distances.
- When used in conjunction with a spatial filter, a beam expander transforms an asymmetric beam profile into a symmetric one, while simultaneously ensuring uniform distribution of optical energy.
The BE series beam expanders are suitable for spot sizes up to 2 mm in diameter.
