Anti-reflection coating


Single-Point Anti-Reflective (AR) Coating
The main function of a single-point anti-reflective (AR) coating (also known as an anti-reflection coating) is to reduce or eliminate reflected light on optical surfaces, increase the light transmittance of components, and reduce stray light in the system. A single-point AR coating is designed to allow almost all light at a specific wavelength to transmit through the optical surface.

 

Broadband Anti-Reflective Coating 
Broadband anti-reflective (AR) coatings can reduce dazzling light and virtual images caused by secondary reflection, making the imaging of optical surfaces clearer. They are mainly used in low-light level systems, night vision systems, CCDs, and atmospheric radiation systems.

Dual-band anti-reflection coating 
Dual-band anti-reflective (AR) coatings enable high transmittance of two central wavelengths through the substrate, and are mainly used in dual-frequency systems or multi-laser output systems.

Single-Wavelength Dielectric High-Reflectivity Coating

Single-wavelength dielectric high-reflectivity coatings exhibit high reflectivity within a specific wavelength range, with the function of increasing the reflectivity of optical surfaces. They are mainly used in laser resonators and optical path folding.

(1) Gold-Plated Reflector


In the infrared spectral region, gold films offer higher reflectivity and better chemical stability than silver films and aluminum films. Through environmental testing, gold films can still maintain excellent optical performance and film adhesion under harsh environments. Chenxin Technology can provide high-performance gold-plated reflectors with robust film adhesion.

Notes:
Due to the low mechanical strength of the gold film, use a clean compressed gas canister for surface cleaning and operate with extreme caution.
Wear laser safety goggles when inspecting the optical path or adjusting the optical axis.

(2) Silver-Plated Reflector

CNI provides protective silver-plated reflectors with robust and wear-resistant coatings. For long-term storage, use an oxygen scavenger to prevent oxidation of the silver film.

(3) Aluminum-Plated Reflector

CNI offers reflectors with ultraviolet aluminum films and protective aluminum films. Since bare aluminum films are extremely fragile and prone to damage, we apply a protective layer on the surface of the aluminum film to extend the reflector's service life. Various types of reflectors are available upon customer request.

Notes:
Aluminum film reflectors without a protective layer are prone to damage and oxidation. Do not wipe the mirror surface with paper or cloth; use an antioxidant during long-term storage to prevent the formation of aluminum oxide films.
When using a multi-lens system under adverse conditions, it is recommended to avoid aluminum reflective films and consider multi-layer dielectric film reflectors instead.
