VO2 Phase Change Characteristic Test System STA-VOP


Vanadium dioxide ( VO2) is a kind of metal oxide with phase transition property. Its phase transition temperature is 68℃, which can induce reversible metal-insulator phase transition of  VO2. With the phase transition, the crystal structure, resistance, infrared light transmittance, refractive index and magnetic susceptibility of  VO2 change dramatically. It is precisely because of the phase transition temperature near room temperature and the sudden change of physical and chemical properties before and after phase transition that  VO2 has a very wide application prospect in the fields of intelligent temperature control film, optical device, electronic device and optoelectronic device, military protection device, etc.

Experiment Example

The VO2 sample is heated by laser irradiation, and the laser power through VO2 sample is monitored in real time, and then the real-time transmittance and other parameters of VO2 sample are obtained, which can be used to study the phase transition characteristics of VO2.
