CLSM Confocal Microscope Laser

The laser confocal microscope (CLSM) consists of three key components: a confocal microscope, a laser source, and a data acquisition system. It represents a powerful integration of optical microscopy with cutting-edge laser technology, Raman detection techniques, advanced scanning control systems, state-of-the-art computer-based image processing, and fluorescent labeling methods. Its applications span a wide range of research fields, including the visualization of living cell structures, the observation of specific molecular and ionic biological changes, as well as studies in pharmacology, genetics, spectroscopy, and related disciplines. Specific applications include techniques such as Stochastic Optical Reconstruction Microscopy (STORM), Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging by Transient Scanning (FLITS), Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching (FRAP), and Stimulated Emission Depletion (STED) microscopy.
